The LUNA-B filling station is a fully automated device designed for filling large-volume containers (buckets or barrels) with free-flowing, powdered, or small-piece products in a pre-set dose.
The line is always equipped with a suitable dosing system depending on the product being filled (multihead weighers, linear weighers, auger or volumetric doser). The filling unit typically includes a single filling point where empty containers are delivered via an infeed conveyor. These empty containers are stored in a magazine and are picked up by a pneumatic lift with a suction cup.
Once filled with the desired quantity of product, the containers are transferred to the lid application station. The lids, stored in a separate magazine, are applied using suction technology and pressed onto the filled containers in the closing station. Finally, the fully closed containers are moved via a roller conveyor for further processing (cartoning, palletizing).
The filling station can be customized for different container formats (height, diameter, volume) and is always built to the customer’s specific requirements. Changeover to another format is quick and easy.
