The Challenge: automating powder filling into tubs and jars

Previously, product packaging was carried out mostly by hand. The goal was to find a solution that would automate dosing, filling, sealing, and labeling while integrating smoothly into the existing production environment.

In addition, constraints related to ceiling height and the requirement to supply the system using bulk bags (big bags) had to be taken into account. We therefore adapted the station's design so that its support column extends into the space of a roof skylight. This made it possible to install the technology without raising the height of the hall or changing its layout. The line also had to be designed to allow for future expansion without the need for extensive structural modifications.

With the LUNA-T line, a smooth packaging process was created — from raw material to a finished, labeled product
The equipment automatically handles:

• packaging supply,
• dosing and filling,
• sealing of containers,
• weight control, 
• labeling.
• further transport of finished products.

Due to the limited ceiling height, the big-bag station was individually adapted to the building's construction conditions and integrated into an elevated section of the roof.

How we reduced dust during filling

When designing the line, the dustiness of the packaged products had to be taken into account. For this reason, the entire line was enclosed, and extraction points connected to a central ventilation system with controlled airflow were installed at points where dust is generated. The filling heads dip into the container during filling so that the powder does not fall from a great height and disperses less.
